Overview

Pithworks was an agency in Boise, ID with a specialization in web design and branding projects. Right after being hired as a product and web designer with Pithworks, I was tasked with giving their website a facelift. My goal with the site remodel was to tread new ground, making design decisions that the previous iteration hadn’t addressed. WE specialized in making custom WordPress templates, so naturally our project had the restraint of being WordPress compatible.

Micro-interactions

Limitations on WordPress websites can vary, but I saw an opportunity to elevate the brand by making the primary navigation and page transitions less boring. this meant that every time you changed to a new page, you flashed to the brand’s primary color. Animating the hamburger menu to an ‘X’ upon user interaction allowed for the entry and exit of the main navigation to remain fixed in the same spot.
