Overview
While working for Pithworks web marketing agency, I had the opportunity to build a design system and content strategy for a Seattle-based magazine that showcases craft culture with a focus on wine, beer, spirits and cider in the NW USA, Sip Northwest.
Blog
While this was as much a branding project as a UX project, we knew that our content strategy improving traffic through organic and social channels. This meant accommodating features like categorizing posts by type to allow for more nuanced functionality.
Vendor Showcasing
Tagging posts as a vendor showcase was a powerful tool for funneling traffic and creating sponsor relationships.
Event Showcasing
Posts tagged as an event showcase were designed with social media sharing and RSVP patterns in mind.
Outcomes
Including UX into the project brief elevated this project from a web design project into a business improvement opportunity for this magazine.
